Imre Kalman creates the score of operetta Countess Maritza had being already world-known composer, author of Bayader, Gipsy princess, Gypsy-premier. For the first time new operetta was presented on the stage of Viennese theatre An der Vien on 28th of February of 1924. Opening night gained big success. And nowadays Countess Maritza has the same acknowledgment of audience fascinating with beauty of melodies, poetry, story full of love intrigues and complications.

Charley's Aunt is a farce in three acts written by Brandon Thomas. It broke all historic records for plays of any kind, with an original London run of 1,466 performances.
Charley's Aunt tells of the extremes to which young men will go to spend time with young women. With a spirit that the entire family can enjoy, mistaken identity, long-lost loves and sweet courtship all collide in the play to form the happiest of possible endings.

Politically-charged dark comedy Moliere: The Cabal of Hypocrites.
On the surface, this Russian work by the famous author of The Master and Margarita concerns itself with the personal and political problems that plagued French playwright Moliere. The author, however, certainly wrote the work with the plight of the mid-century Soviet artist in mind. Its provocative look at the eternal conflict between artistic freedom and censorship, however, transcends all historical periods.

Frederic Belinsky - Manouche Project
A descendent of the great literary critic Vissarion Belinsky, grandson of the famous classical pianist Valia Belinsky and the Gypsy violinist Stephan Brotescou.During his 15 years of classical guitar, he has not limited himself to this style of music, but also turns to jazz under the influence of the greatest jazz musicians including Django Reinhardt, Barney Kessel, Wes Montgomery & Tal Farlow.
Attracted by Russian folklore at the age of 16, the young musician made his beginning with well-known Gypsy musicians in the famous cabarets of Paris. Impressed by the virtuoso and feelings with which they played the violin and the balalaika, Frederic was inspired and stroked his guitar in an original interpretation using his new found energy.
His passion for jazz and Gypsy music has only strengthened his love for classical music. He performs J.S. Bach in a series of concerts in France, Finland and Germany. Reputed as an outstanding virtuoso jazz guitarist in Paris, Frederic Belinsky is a young prodigy of music, endowed not only with an amazing technique but also with marvelous musical expression. He plays for Michael Gorbatchev, the King of Morocco Mohammed VI etc.

Lazy Lester – Ben Hall Pub
Back when blues was king and South Louisiana was the breeding ground for a blast of some of the most memorable American music ever recorded, at the heart of it was Lazy Lester. Those days are gone, and so too are most of its luminaries. And yet Lester carries the tradition almost single-handedly around the world several times over each year. As a true living legend, his talents are as much in demand as ever.
After all, there aren’t many living bluesmen who’ve had major hits, as Lester did on Excello Records in the 1950s and ‘60s, and are still performing with the gusto and precision of their youth. Lester hasn’t lost a thing, and as his voice has richened with age, you could make a strong case for him being in his prime now.
Lazy regularly performs both as a solo artist (with acoustic guitar, rack harmonica and foot percussion) and as the front man with a band, playing either harmonica or guitar.

The Pancake Week
The Great Pancake Week (Maslenitsa) festivities will be taking place in the park of the Rastorguyev-Kharitonov's Estate on Voznesenkaya Gorka on Sunday, February 14.
The festivities begin at 11 a.m. Events will be taking place one after another on a vast fairground. Among traditional Russian funs are seizing of a snow fortress, competitions in Russian hand-to-hand fighting, puppet show Petrushka, and singing Russian ditties.
Directions: Rastorguyev-Kharitonov's Estate and Park takes up the block between ul. Karla Libknekhta (ул. Карла Либкнехта) and ul. Mamina-Sibiryaka (ул. Мамина-Сибиряка), across the street from The Church on the Blood.
