Kirill Strezhnev and his colleagues have cooperated with the translator Tamara Skuy for a long time. She successfully translated a number of European operas and musicals that have been staged in Oleg Tabakov's Theatre in Moscow, Lensovet Theatre, and in local theatres in Russia.
The Sverdlovsk Academic Theatre of Musical Comedy continues with «The Italian repertoire» in close collaboration with Tamara Skuy.
Devil&Virgin is a relatively new musical by Armando Trovaioli. It was adopted for the Russian audience and named as «Devil&Virgin,» though in the original it sounds like «If you could turn back time.»

Description
One of the well-known story cycle Povesti Belkina (The Tales of Belkin), Metel' (Snowstrom) has been hailed both as masterpiece and as inconsequential trifle.
Pushkin's primary concern in the cycle is clearly that of literary parody; each of the five tales demonstrates his love of tinkering with genre conventions for an effect which is certainly amusing, though perhaps not particularly profound. Metel' takes its inspiration from the genre of the Romantic tale popular at the time.
Like much Romantic literature, the plot of Metel' is thoroughly implausible. A young couple decides to elope, but a snowstorm prevents the groom from reaching the church. Meanwhile, a passing stranger, Burmin, allows himself to be mistaken for the bridegroom and takes part in the ceremony for a joke, before leaving without explaining himself. The heroine, married to a man whose identity she has never learned, falls in love four years later - with Burmin himself. All is revealed when the couple explains that the only obstacle to a happy ending is the secret wedding service in which both were involved.

Evgeny Grishkovetz is a well-known Russian writer, dramatist, stage director, and actor. He is widely known as the author of witty soliloquy plays, which he stages and performs himself (solo performances).
Grishkovets has staged a number of authorial plays, for example, A Fellow Who Has Eaten a Dog, and also published his books.
In Ekaterinburg Grishkovetz presents his new play «+1» (Plus Odin).

Description
The Barber of Seville, or The Useless Precaution (Il barbiere di Siviglia, ossia L'inutile precauzione) is based on the play had previously been composed by Giovanni Paisiello, and another was composed in 1796 by Nicolas Isouard.
Though the work of Paisiello triumphed for a time, Rossini's later version alone has stood the test of time and continues to be a mainstay of operatic repertoire.
The libretto of this masterpiece is founded on Beaumarchais’ comedy of the same name. It was prepared by the poet Sterbini, who lived in the same house with Rossini while the work was in progress.
