Description
The performance is based on John Murrell’s play «Memoir» - a two-hander about the final days of legendary French actress Sarah Bernhardt.
In «Memoir,» John Murrell described a last year in Sarah Bernhardt’s life.
Facing an overwhelming need to preserve her experiences, she began to dictate her memoirs to her faithful secretary, George Pitou. As she and George began to recreate the personalities and events of long ago, past and present merge into one gloriously poignant moment and the Mediterranean background fades into the recollected landscape of a life fully and exuberantly lived.

Description
The play is based on classical stage direction of Lavrovsky.
Considered one of the great Romantic ballets, Giselle is about a simple peasant girl who is betrayed by love. She goes mad and dies of a broken heart. She becomes a ghost and is ordered to destroy the man who caused her pain, although she is still deeply in love with him. The ballet deals with the powerful forces of nature, including forest spirits and death. The second act is referred to as the «white act» because everyone is wearing white. In the end, undying love triumphs over betrayal and death.

Description
This performance is rather unusual for a Russian theatrical enterprise. It’s based on 1944 existentialist play by Jean-Paul Sartre, originally published in French as «Huis Clos» (meaning «In Camera» or «Behind Closed Doors»).
The play begins with the valet leading a man named Garcin into a room that the audience soon realizes is in hell. It may be a gigantic hotel, in light of the «rooms and passages.» The room has no windows, no mirrors, and only one door.
Eventually Garcin is joined by Inès, and then another, Estelle. They realize they are there to torture each other, which they do effectively, by probing each other's sins, desires, and unpleasant memories.
Brilliant Russian actors – Irina Alpherova and Andrey Sokolov – are starring the play.

It’s one of the important culture events in Ekaterinburg due to its unique dance performance, video and sound track.

«Wings at Tea»
Description
The world famous «Provincial Dances» theatre, with its easily recognizable style combining choreography and plastic arts presents the dance performance «Wings at Tea.»
The choreographer Tatiana Baganova directed it for American Dance Festival. The company has performed this production in many countries such as Great Britain, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Lithuania and Latvia. The dancers present the performance in their native city.
«Wings at Tea» has become the nominee of the National Theatre Award «The Golden Mask» in three categories. The original music was written specifically for the performance by the cellist Chris Lancaster who also plays the cello during the performance.

Ekaterinburg History Museum
Duel in Russia, XVII-XX centuries
Description
The exhibition is devoted to the contradictory phenomena of a dueling in Russia.
From early XIXth century dueling was illegal in Russia but it was the only way of defense of a noble’s honor.
Duels could be fought with some sort of sword or with pistols. To this end special sets of duelling pistols were crafted for the wealthiest of noblemen. Some of them are displayed at the exhibition.
The exhibition covers the period from the XVII century, when in July 1637 in Moscow the first duel was recorded, till the beginning of the XX century, so-called «The Silver Age of Dueling.»
To decline a challenge was often equated to defeat by forfeiture, and sometimes regarded as dishonorable. Prominent and famous individuals were especially at risk of being challenged.
The Russian poet Alexander Pushkin prophetically described a number of duels in his works, notably Onegin's duel with Lensky. The poet was mortally wounded in a controversial duel with Georges d'Anthès, a French officer rumored to be his wife's lover.

The jazz-band is open for experiments and new musical tendencies. On Friday, May 8th musicians are going to present selected tracks from the «Black & White» album and new album called «Travel».

Roy Young is an explosive soul singer with a truly unique and memorable voice.
Roy has been honored as the first ever local artist to have the privilege of closing the Eilat Red Sea International Jazz Festival in 2005. He opened for Lionel Ritchie at a private function in Monte Carlo in June of 2006, and also performed at the official birthday celebration for President Nazarbeyav of Kazakhstan in July 2006.
David Orchestra is a local jazz band that has performed with many famous jazz and soul singers such as Nicole Henry.
