Rock-Festival Old New Rock

The largest and well-known rock-festival in the Ural gathering Russian popular rock-bands from Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, and other cities. Every year more than 10 000 rock-fans visit the event. Holds twice a year – on January and July.

All-Russian Bike Show

 

Every year famous Ural bike-club Black Knives (Tcherniye Nozhi) organizes a special outdoor event for all bike-fans.

During the event rock-concerts, bike shows and bike race are usually held.

Festival of the Orthodox Culture Tsarist Days


Every year Ekaterinburg hosts festival of the Orthodox Culture Tsarist Days that is considered to be one of the largest and most important Orthodox events in Russia.

It was Ekaterinburg where the last Russian Tsar Nicholas II, his wife Alexandra, and their children Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and Tsarevitch Alexis were executed by Bolsheviks at the engineer Ipatiev’s house on the night of July 16, 1918.

More than 100, 000 people and 50, 000 pilgrims take part in church processions and events.

The Festival is devoted to the memory of Russia’s Holy Martyrs, those who Shone Forth in the Land of Russia.

Russian Expo Arms
 

Nizhny Tagil hosts the International Exhibition of Arms, Military Equipment and Ammunition Russian Expo Arms.

The exhibition in Nizhny Tagil has become one of the important and significant events of the Ural region and Russia.

Every year at least 500 military equipment manufacturers exhibit their products on the polygon of the Nizhny Tagil Institute of Metal Testing.

The main organizer is the Ministry of the Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

43 leading military works from 15 regions participate in the exhibition. Among them are representatives of Kurgan, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm region and Ulyanovsky region.
