Sverdlovsk Region Governor’s Cup on Downhill Skiing
The Cup is held in a popular local ski resort White Mountain (Belaya Gora).
The Sverdlovsk Region Governor’s Cup considers to be important and large-scale sport event in the Ural involving 300 professional sportsmen from Moscow, Perm, Chelyabinsk and other regions. Also, traditional competitions for seniors are held on the last day of the Sverdlovsk Region Governor’s Cup.
Eduard Rossel, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region leads the opening and closing solemn ceremony. He also awards the Cup’s winners.
International Children’s Music Arts Festival The Earth is Our Home
The festival gathers 12 000 participants from 25 countries of the world.
The Festival was recognized by UNESCO as an official event on the framework of the International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World.
The first event was organized in 1982. Since that time the Festival’s gained popularity and become one of the important culture events for children.
