Russian Cuisine
Russian cuisine derives its rich and varied character from the vast and multicultural expanse of Russia. While in Ekaterinburg do not miss the opportunity to visit Russian restaurants. Ural is famous for the original recipe of traditional Russian dishes - pelmeni and pirogi.

Pelmeni
Pelmeni is a traditional Russian dish usually made with minced meat or fish filling, wrapped in thin dough. For the filling, mostly pork, lamb, or beef is used. The Ural recipe of pelmeni is considered the best in Russia.
Bliny
One of the famous examples of traditional Russian cuisine, bliny are made from wheat, buckwheat or other grains. They may be topped with butter, sour cream, honey, fruit preserves or caviar.
Pirogi
Pirogi or pirozhki are small stuffed buns made of yeast dough or short pastry. They are filled with different ingredients such as green onion and boiled eggs, mushrooms, meat and rice stuffing and sometimes carrots. They may be baked or shallow-fried.
Uha
Uha is a traditional Russian fish soup. Vegetables, fish and potatoes are usually used in cooking uha. It is served with bread and sour cream.
Solyanka
The sausage soup with beef, ham, sausages, chicken breast meat and fresh dill and pickled cucumbers and mushrooms.

Restaurant Troekurov
The high-class restaurant Troekurov (named after a character in Pushkin’s novel Dubrovsky) has an excellent reputation for its atmosphere, unique cuisine and exclusive interior design. Chef Mikhail Kovalev is considered one of the best in Ekaterinburg. The restaurant has often held famous cuisine festivals and established sommelier courses.

Uralskie Pelmeni
A family-friendly restaurant featuring Russian cuisine, celebrated for its own Ural recipe of pelmeni. The restaurant has two floors and 300 seats: cafeteria-style on the first floor and full dining service on the second floor. You should make advance reservations for the dining service.

Stolle
Stolle is a cafe-pie with pies backed according to Old Russian recipes.
Interior of the cafe-pie network has much in common with interior of Russian cities of the end of XIX and beginning of XX century: oak parquetry, solid wooden doors, cast brass chandeliers, leathern sofas, and natural tones facing.
It is interesting, that Stolle means a traditional German (Saxon) Christmas cake.
It is the first Stolle cafe-pie in Ural. Located next to Sevastyanov’s house right on the City Pond embankment. There are tables at the terrace with a tremendous view. To-go service is avalaible.

CCCP (USSR)
Famous place full of Soviet-era kitsch. Very popular among foreign tourists.
A classy and cozy offers a mix of Russian and East-European meals including some original offerings.
The inner design & interior full of old Soviet artefacts - it's the only place where you may enjoy the Soviet memorabilia along the walls.
"CCCP" hosts live music and stand-up comedy shows on weekends.
